The Blue Lagoon is a place most visitors go to. It is an artificial bathing place in a highly active geothermal area close to the international airport at Keflavik. Its placement makes it a very pleasant place to go to either when arriving to or departuring Iceland.
The balsaming natural geothermal water and the renouned healing powers to skin problems such as psoriasis are widely known.
An extended tour to the famous Blue Lagoon in a combination with passing Krisuvik and a round trip of the Reykjanes peninsula would very much summarize the variety of landscape and geology Iceland has to offer.
